In 2000 hired by SCCH who merged with MSHA several years later. Overall responsibility for the utilization and front line support of clinical and financial application installed by the IS Department necessary to meet the needs of users. This included assisting, selection and implementation of new applications and databases; integration and interfacing of applications within the overall hospital-wide network; evaluation testing, installation of software upgrades; software certification and validation. Responsibility for ensuring the adequate and continual operation of Data and Voice Networks at the site within the IS Department. Responsible for the management of IS support personnel. Act as liaison between MSHA and vendor technical support concerning system problems and outages. Responsible for creating and managing capital and operating budget of the IS Department for this site.Major areas of accomplishment include:Stepped in to fill Site Manager position in time of loss of current management.Realignment strategy between Smyth County Community and MSHAOpening of new $67M dollar LEED Silver certification hospital and Regional Cancer Center

.Reporting directly to VP of Accounting I was responsible for a 250+ device LAN/WAN. Worked closely with all facets of manufacturing environment to successfully oversee the daily IS support activities with two direct reports to me for 5 locations. • Was responsible for developing the ongoing upgrade path for the MRP system and Information Systems assets. • Coordinated and moved MRP (MCBA) system out of Birmingham Alabama.• Upgraded entire network architecture from CAT3 to CAT5 using Cisco switches in mesh topology. • Helped in correcting and validating the inventory system and developed plans for new system implementation.
