Eventually, analyzing usage data within Office became so sought after, we needed a whole team- Co-founded the Data & Analytics Group (DNA) within Office Research- Managed research projects to understand usage, satisfaction, and user needs from telemetry- Worked with teams like Word, Excel, Online, others to identify success metrics and KPIs- Analyzed usage.

Usage data analysis was in its infancy, but it had been so critical to design of the ribbon, I decided to double-down on it and make sure everyone in Office had access to it- Developed Office's usage data reporting to understand which parts of the product were being used, how, and how frequently- Democratized the analysis of usage data by building out.

That was my team!- Usability Research Lead for Office 2007's New UI - the 'ribbon' that replaced menus- Managed team responsible for conducting all usability lab tests, design research, eye-tracking studies, focus groups, site visits, and surveys for the new UI across all development.
