Working as a Consultant to support the Solution Assessment function at Microsoft. Solution Assessments are a valuable presales program at Microsoft that provide customers with insights into their IT environments and data-driven recommendations for digital transformations, cloud migrations, and process improvements.A list of my duties as follows:- Consultant across US and Canada: Lead the assessment process for customers from start to finish, including tool deployment and consulting customers on data insights and next step action items.- Development: Heavily involved with the continuous improvement of assessment deliverables, working closely with PBI developers to provide feedback on assessments, and to help develop new and reiterate existing Assessment PBI reports.- Training and demonstrations: Delivering internal training sessions to Consultants across the Assessment Desk globally, and performing demonstrations of deliverables to various internal parties at Microsoft to promote uptake (Corporate, Program Managers, field Sales teams, etc).

I recruited and managed a sales team of six Account Executives, leading their onboarding and sales development journeys whilst managing my own sales quota.

During my time, revenues increased from £395M to just shy of £1B, employee numbers rose from circa 500 to 1,300, and Softcat successfully floated on the London Stock Exchange.Softcat cared passionately about outstanding employee satisfaction and world-class cusotmer service, believing the former drove the latter. My role as an Account Executive was to help my customers implement innovative end-to-end technology solutions to help their business succeed, and I built strong relationships with customers in different verticals that lasted the duration of my tenure.

I was a Tier 1 point of contact for HMRC staff suffering IT issues. It was my role to perform initial diagnosis and utilise tools to fix 70% of incidents upon first contact. More complex problems were accurately recorded with the appropriate priority and incident summary, and it was my responsibility to liaise with the relevant resolver teams, whilst ensuring an excellent level of customer service was maintained to the HMRC.
