Worked with customers to find the best course of action to extend the life of their units and minimize down time. Performed full failure analysis on returned parts including Ariel manufactured parts and supplied parts such as packing, valves, lubrication pumps.Research and Development: Tested production components on actual structural performance and how it relates to the Ariel Design Standards. Analyzed data using statistical means and variation. Testing resulted in a better understanding of how actual production parts respond to different environments that cannot be accounted for in computer aided design and FEA. Tools used for testing included (but to limited to) Vishay strain gauges (full and half bridge), Strainsert Bolts, Dewetron, and Dewesoft
