I manage the Quality Management System for the OEM and Aftermarket Production processes including Supplier Development, Production Control, Customer Quality Performance. Provide leadership as the Lead Auditor for IATF16949 and ISO9001 and perform internal audits and corrective actions reports. Lead the Monthly Management Review of all Key Performance Indicators and drive improvements across all areas of the plant. Lead and develop a small group of team members within the Quality Department to achieve customer satisfaction and maintain plant performance. Develop Standard Work for all production. Coordinate training for all assembly personnel and retain records. Maintain all Calibration records for any measurement device used for production. Work in a cross functional team to ensure process documents are accurate and up to date. Be the lead contact for Customer Complaints as well as PPAP submissions. Provide Warranty Support when needed including root cause analysis and reporting. Lead Kaizen Improvement projects to improve workflow and productivity. Develop Supplier Monitoring tools and perform onsite visits for process audits when needed. Participate in look across activities across the JTEKT Corporation.As the Safety and Environmental Coordinator, ensure the plant meets all ISO14001 standards. Perform monthly Safety and Environmental inspections of all areas of the facility. Develop a Safety Concern Reporting process with traceability to ensure completion and accurate follow up. Create a Safety and Environmental Annual Action Plan to test all areas of Risk identified for our facility. Work with local authorities to maintain a Safe Workplace. Implement a Safety Message Program to keep the culture of Safety active and inclusive. Build a “Safety Dojo” with key safety messages and training.

I work closely with Manufacturing and Production to identify top items that can reduce overall scrap, throughput and downtime. I manage my specific processes by updating process procedures and identify equipment issues. I ensure that the hourly staff in my area are properly trained as well as help manage any long term goals we set for the area and help with problem solving projects that they are working on. I manage all the changes to the process documents for my area as well as any deviations from the Process Control Plan. I ensure any equipment upgrades are controlled and documented.

As part of the Manufacturing Team for our Fuel Injector lines. I worked with the Quality Team and well as Production to maximize efficiency and reduce scrap through the use of statistical studies as well as tool design and day to day support. I managed equipment upgrades and trouble shooting of a specific area. I lead Union Skilled Trade employees in troubleshooting as well as repair and installations. I had the opportunity to be a Lead Engineer in a large scale equipment upgrade utilizing a cross functional team.

I worked in a small group of engineers and technicians to support current as well as obsolete equipment. I focused on custom designed solutions to implement new upgrades and customer requested add-ons. Once the designs are complete I was responsible for on-sight visits to help install the product in the field. I also participated in customer training as well as trade shows pertaining to facilities management. I worked in new product development teams helping to come up with new patentable designs for emerging markets in the cooling tower industry. Within these teams I was responsible to make sure the new design is backwards compatible as well as insure that the product is serviceable in the field. As part of the aftermarket team I also handled customer quotes through our online submittal program. On a daily basis I was connected to our field representatives and helped them find the correct parts for their customers in the field for all our products.

Involved in the creation of new or improved product. Responsible for insuring the product integrity and performance that has become synonymous with Ariel. Look at every aspect of the designs, using current design tools, including ANSYS and SolidEdge, to prove out concepts. Received extensive training in the following areas:Application Engineering: Handled customer questions and requests concerning the selection and performance of Ariel compressors, as well as helped to educate potential customers on the benefits of Ariel compressors. Worked with Sales managers to ensure the best compressor was selected for the application on a case by case basisField Service: Traveled to sites nationwide to help troubleshoot units in the field (Types of units include pipeline, midline, gathering, storage and CNG units) using vibrational studies and failure analysis. Worked with customers to find the best course of action to extend the life of their units and minimize down time. Performed full failure analysis on returned parts including Ariel manufactured parts and supplied parts such as packing, valves, lubrication pumps.Research and Development: Tested production components on actual structural performance and how it relates to the Ariel Design Standards. Analyzed data using statistical means and variation. Testing resulted in a better understanding of how actual production parts respond to different environments that cannot be accounted for in computer aided design and FEA. Tools used for testing included (but to limited to) Vishay strain gauges (full and half bridge), Strainsert Bolts, Dewetron, and Dewesoft

Assisted costumers in any repairs or aftermarket add-ons for all types of bikes including road bikes, downhill, mountain, and commuter bikes. Constructed and tested new bikes coming into the store to insure only the best quality merchandise reached the costumers.

Handled costumer repairs including sharpen, wax, stone grind and petex repairs. Mounted and torque tested any new ski/binding/boot combinations that came through the shop.

Worked hand in hand with full-time Design Engineers and Field Serive Engineers to improve field repairs for current Ariel production parts. Worked with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Field Service Engineers to create more versatile product to help with manufacturing flow and field repairs.

Worked on improving the manufacturing of crankshafts, specifically to eliminate lobing. Worked directly with Quality Engineers and Field Service Engineers to trouble shoot in field failures and find solutions for new products and manufacturing methods. This included investigating new heat treat methods as well as hands on testing to recreate failures. Investigated ways to eliminate the need to custom make detuners for crankshafts. Worked with Inspectors to varify accuracy of parts using the FARO Arm and FARO Laser Tracker

Worked closely with the Product Development team as well as Quality Control to ensure all current processes were up to date and documented. Maintained all furnace data and analysis to provide control of all foundry pours. Worked independently on creating methods to implement the FARO Arm (portable CMM) and to verify all results were statistically accurate to previous methods of inspection. Provided detailed analysis for repeatablity and quality of new products
