Currently I work for Peter Baker & Son Co. a bituminous paving company as the company’s Purchasing Manager. Our main office is located in Lake Bluff, IL. We also locations in Marengo, Lakemoor, and North Chicago. My responsibilities include ordering parts, equipment, office items, etc. Before purchasing, I gather quotes to make sure that the company saves money and continues to be successful as possible. I also perform other duties in my position, such as managing our Verizon account, our security systems at all locations, licenses and titles for the companies vehicles, and leading/discovering money saving projects for Peter Baker & Son Co.While living in Scotland I worked for Property Extra as a Property Letting Administrator, where my main duties included conducting move in and exit inspections of properties, creating schedules for two employees that were under my supervision, receiving and placing calls to present and future tenants, managing keys for over 170 properties and performing various IT skills daily.Previously I was hired as warehouse manager for a company called Global EDM supplies for which I was responsible for not only all inventories and overall organization of the warehouse but I would also have to prepare orders for shipping nationally and delivering locally to customers.In addition to this experience I also worked as an administrator for Bulger Associates were I was the assistant to the owner of the company. During this time I gained more organizational skills in the business world, IT skills and I also was in charge of running the business’s website.I have a great deal of experience in the automotive industry. Initially I was a porter for Biggers Mazda and later promoted to a sales representative. I also studied Automotive Technology at Elgin Community College. I served in the United States Army as a Tracked Vehicle Mechanic and completed a year long tour in Afghanistan.
