Commander of the daily operations of over 100 personnel. Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders in a division that consist of multiple universities, Churchill Downs, KY Fair and Expo Center, an amusement park and over 80,000 residents. An array of duties that include, quality control, interviewing and hiring, evaluating, counseling, coaching, discipline, scheduling, management of a 100-vehicle fleet, implementation of organizational strategies and operational objectives, provide budgetary and strategic recommendations to leadership staff and motivate subordinates towards continuous improvement.

Oversaw SWAT, Hostage Negotiations Team, Bomb Squad, Canine, Air Patrol, River Patrol, along with 6 other specialized units. Was the Incident commander on all barricade subjects and hostage situations. Collaborated in the design & implementation of a full-scale tabletop exercise with the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA. Developed career plans for subordinates, led process improvements, engaged in community and consumer interactions and prepared written communications for both up and downline. Managed an eight-million-dollar budget.

Developed and cultivated positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, provided technical assistance and safety procedures to employees and citizens, collected financial data in order to prepare after action reports for internal purposes and billing, monitored and evaluated necessary equipment for operation continuity and ordering purposes. Oversaw all police operations and planning for the Kentucky Oaks & Derby in 2016 and 2017 with crowds of up to 168,000 and for the Muhammad Ali Memorial Service (2016) which was viewed by billions worldwide. Security Command Group for the PGA National Championship (2014) and Thunder over Louisville (2014 – 2017), the largest firework and airshow in North America.

Commanded the 24 hours-a-day operation of the largest evidence warehouse in Kentucky where over 41,000 items are received each year. Spearheaded a currency project that cleared over 9,500 cases and over $6 million dating back to 1972. Developed policy and procedures to ensure optimal security for personnel and sensitive items.
