By capturing data on both feet at every step, RunScribe provides a detailed view of gait mechanics in the lab or out in the wild.Founding and developing RunScribe has been an incredible experience. I've worn just about every hat at one time or another (some fit better than others!) : - Hardware Development (circuit design, component/sensor selection, power management) - Software Development (100% of the firmware for all versions of RunScribe) - Algorithm Development (I've developed deep understanding of human movement, gait in particular, having now looked at tens of thousands of individual footsteps, building algorithms that work in the wild under all conditions) - Data Visualization (along the way, I've found new ways to visualize traditional gait metrics, eg.
