On behalf of the commander provide day to day oversight of the operational level Joint Functional Component Command for Space components and staff. Command the Army's only brigade level space command in a time of war. Responsible for providing world class space support to Army Forces, United States Strategic Command and supported Combatant Commanders around the globe using the Army's operational SPACE assets to include JTAGS for Missile Warning, Space Support Teams, Space Control, WGS and DSCS Satellite Payloads and operate special technical programs (STO) supporting critical combat and contingency operations.
