Part of the Market Development Unit, a global team of senior IT managers assigned to help build external non-VW business for the gedas group. Responsible for market analysis, go-to-market strategy, developing the gedas portfolio and identifying/creating opportunities. Role also included global and local account management of all existing and new clients and the formulation of multi-million pound proposals.

Reporting directly to the Head of Development for VW Group Services, jointly responsible for the “Manufacture Supported Repair Programme”, standardizing and delivering 850+ remotely managed servers and associated systems to all the VWG retailers in the UK, managing 3rd party suppliers, a team of developers, analysts and consultants, all jointly responsible for delivering the VWAG requirements.• Allowed VWG vehicles to be remotely diagnosed and updated by the UK and German central technical support centres• Collaborated with the Global VWAG Rollout Team, understanding their requirements from the UK VW Importer and UK VWG Retailers, deriving plans and developing systems supporting those requirements• Appointed as the VW Group Services Security Champion, a member of a team of 10 VWG managers responsible for all security aspects for VWG UK

Reporting directly to the Head of VW Luxury Cars, managing a small team responsible for analysing processes, deriving solutions, developing new and modifying existing systems for launching new luxury vehicles.• Managed the planning, development and deployment of all associated systems for the launch of the new VW Touareg and VW Phaeton in the UK• Supported the VW Brand Business Development team and VW Group Services, providing general technology consultancy as and when required. • Developed a deep understanding of the organisational aspects of Volkswagen UK and strong appreciation of the landscape of systems, relevant technologies and the operating environment required to support OEM’s importing vehicles into the UK

Overall responibilty for the ICT accross 5 sites - 4 UK and 1 USA. Also a member of the Executive Board, Chairman of the E-Business Team and a member of the Global IS Strategy Team, headed up by the CIO of the Audi Group.
