I am a partner in Thompson Hine's Product Liability and Business Litigation Practice groups and am Chair of the Firm's Mass and Toxic Tort Group. I also lead the Firm's Chemical Industry Initiative, a multidisciplinary group focused on our clients' concerns and issues in the chemicals, coatings and plastic industries. Given my deep industry knowledge and involvement, I serve as the firm's key representative for the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates, the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council and the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois. I have also represented the American Chemistry Council. We help solve our chemical clients' most concerning problems and mitigate risk profiles through creative solutions.My litigation practice focuses on mass toxic tort, class actions, product liability, and commercial litigation on a national basis. I have represented our clients in over twenty-three states and Canada. I am also the lead trial counsel for a number of chemical companies and the industry trade association on national litigation involving chemical exposures. Tim was the 2014-2016 Committee Chair of the Defense Research Institute's Toxic Tort Environmental Law Committee and served as the Committee Vice Chair from 2013 to 2014. He is a former member of DRI's Corporate Counsel Roundtable Steering Committee and is a current member of IADC. I frequently present on the issues facing the chemicals industry and the science of causation in chemical exposure cases. I am admitted to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the Central District of Illinois, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First, Fifth and Sixth Circuits.Specialties: Representation of chemical companies in mass tort litigation and class actions on a national basis.
