Pharm-Up merged with Novolog in 2011

Novartis is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. Novartis OTC is the division which specializes in Over The Counter pharmaceutical products. The Israeli subsidiary, which I managed, was during this period, the 2nd largest OTC player in the local market, and the fastest growing player. Growth was driven by both organic growth and new product introductions, and came from all sales channels. Sales and profits reached record levels during this period.

P/L responsibility for a company which markets, sells and distributes a number of branded consumer products - each leaders in their respective categories. The brands are: Brita in-home water filters and Soda Club in-home beverage systems. Methods of sales include via retail and direct to consumers via an in-house call centre and direct home deliveries.

DiverseyLever, which specializes in cleaning solutions and products to the institutional and industrial market, was a fully owned subsidiary of Unilever until it was acquired by SC Johnson and became JohnsonDiversey in 2002. In 2000, I became MD of the Israeli subsidiary in order to turn it around after a long period of heavy losses. By mid-2002 the company posted an Operational Profit for the first time in many years.

Lever Israel, the fully-owned Unilever subsidiary in Israel, specialized in Home and Personal Care consumer products. During these years, sales grew by about 25% p.a. In addition to being responsible for Sales and Logistics, I also had P/L responsibility for Unilever's subsidiary in Palestine which I established in 1998.

Osem-Nestle is one of Israel's leading food companies. I was responsible for international activities including the set-up and management of manufacturing and sales operations in India and China, and sales and distribution operations in Romania and the Czech Republic.

Axiom was a "boutique" investment bank, with offices in New York and Tel Aviv. The company provided merger and acquisition, private placement and valuation services, and executed numerous transactions, including the acquisition of Abic by Teva Pharmaceuticals for $36m.
