Datacom Systems is a manufacturer of network analysis products designed to be deployed in computer networks for improved network and security application analysis. I brief our Board of Directors and develop corporate strategy, working across all departmental boundaries. Responsibilities include managing Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Support, and Production. I help manage our OEM relationships with partners, an OEM vendor and large customers. Datacom was bought by a Private Equity firm in 2008. A Datacom “Division” was purchased by Ixia in 2014.

NEC Unified Solutions is a division of NEC that provides complex technical solution sales as an extension of NEC and as a Gold partner with Cisco Systems. I developed a new service practice to perform network security audits, built service groups for telco implementations in large data centers, and designed large, complex networks for medium and large companies. I managed our 24X7 call center for service and dispatch issues.

Central Locating Service locates and identifies underground utilities. As their IT manager, I managed our receipt of incoming tickets from call centers around the U.S. and Canada to properly identify utilities. Automated receipt of tickets was accomplished with two customized applications that I worked with different vendors to develop, one using QNX/SQL and another Windows/MS Access. The company was successfully positioned and sold to a competitor.

The 485th EIG is the U.S. Air Force communications engineering group responsible for a wide variety of engineering disciplines at Air Force bases worldwide. I worked as the chief consultant for base telecommunications planning and blueprinting at a number of locations. Specific base network and telecommunications projects were designed and implemented using a combination of contract and military personnel, worldwide.

Babcock and Wilcox designs and maintains commercial nuclear reactors for the power industry. I was responsible for the maintenance and operation of our robotic systems during fueling outages at several nuclear facilities.
