During my three and a half years at Grimshaw Architects I've been involved mainly in the transport sector working on a variety of airport and railway station of varying sizes and RIBA work stages.London Bridge StationGRIP Stage 4 - Redevelopment of the existing station, canopies and façade. Produced sketches, diagrams and images for initial planning meetings and set up the CAD file structure and management.Spiretec CompetitionWon an internal concept competition, which was chosen by Sir Nick Grimshaw and the managing partner. This resulted in the opportunity to lead and manage a small team to develop the design, which was submitted as Grimshaw’s entry for a competition in India. Heathrow Airport Terminal 2B Phase 2Terminal 2B at Production Information stage to deliver four packages. Worked as a team of two with the package architect on three of the packages and lead the Soft Floors package. Heathrow Airport Western Campus Constructability StudyStrategic high-level study into the future development of the western campus to help BAA understand how to phase construction for the next 30 years.

These included a reclad at St Thomas’s; a mixed use Leisure Facility in Western-super-Mare; a transport interchange in Luxemburg Airport terminal in Riga, Latvia.

Worked in a small architects office in the centre of Paris for 6 weeks gaining a perspectiveinto how offices are run outside the UK. In addition gained additional Part 1 experienceon smaller projects, which included Planning Submission for change of use and redesignof the façade and the survey and redevelopment of a Pharmacy.

Worked for a highly regarded local Dundee architecture practice. This provided a wide experience for Part 1, working on jobs of varying complexities and responsibility. Worked on the Aberdeen Schools PPP Competition bid team within the office.
