Profile bio

About Tim Cropanzano

As a recent graduate from Indiana University, I have spent the past four years studying a breadth of disciplines within the Kelley School of Business. Ultimately, I took a particular interest in both Marketing and Professional Sales. I always enjoyed the design aspects of Marketing, such as building marketing materials that help strengthen a company’s brand image through specific words, fonts, images, messages, and other design tools. I gained valuable practice with these skills while working as a Marketing Intern for Knucklebones, a private events planning company in the greater Boston area. At Knucklebones, I was tasked with designing surveys, email marketing campaigns, social media posting guides, and logos/accessories. Likewise, I took interest in sales because I have a calm temperament and the ability to handle stress well. I exemplified this at GoHealth by remaining calm when consulting customers on their Healthcare plans, even if they were angry, annoyed, or were discussing emotional topics such as a familial death. My time at GoHealth also taught me the importance of rapport building and trust within the sales process. Making myself personally available to my clients, even after completing a sale, formulated trust that resulted in repeat business and lifelong members. Lastly, sales for GoHealth taught me the importance of being able to take complex information and simplify/tailor it for your clients. I noticed a marked improvement in my performance at GoHealth once I became skilled at rephrasing questions and explaining concepts in terms that were understandable for the average medicare recipient. Together, I believe these experiences provide me with a solid foundation of marketing and sales knowledge which I hope to build on in the future. I look forward to gaining an opportunity to work with and learn from seasoned marketers and sales agents in the future as I further my career in business.
