Group Audit & Assurance (GA&A) is the third line of assurance in the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF). This function serves as an independent function that reports regularly to the Board Audit Committee (BAC). My wider team is responsible for the analytics scope of audit and assurance activities relating to all areas of CBA Group. This necessitates a close working relationship with the audit and business team functions, in order to provide an accurate assessment of the controls' operating effectiveness within the business.

As part of the Line 2 product risk team, my role was focused on the credit risk policies, strategies and analysis of new credit card customers including new product releases, scorecard change implementations and marketing campaigns.- Led project to replace the current scorecard models for both Westpac and St George credit card portfolios, resulting in a 5% increase in approval rates, whilst decreasing forecasted bad rates by 10%. Key components included sourcing of data, balancing statistical significance with profitability to determine appropriate scorecard thresholds, and also developing a limit offer strategy for existing customers.- Investigated and provided recommendations into the commercial and financial viability of a new credit card “Lite” for the Westpac brand on a specific target market.- Analysed impact on acquisition of customers across all unsecured lending portfolios for implementation of an income-scaled reference for standardised estimation of living expenditures.

In my role as NSW state lead, I was responsible for:- Being accountable to execute and manage The Youth Network’s strategy in NSW, reporting to the National Chair- Delivery and support of professional/personal development events including a summit for 250+ high-performing Westpac Group employees under the age of 30- Representing The Youth Network in Board meetings and as a point of liaison to the Westpac Group’s Executive and Senior Leadership team

As part of the Line 2 product risk team, I performed credit risk strategy analysis and reporting across the all segments of the credit life cycle - acquisition, account management and collections.- Led implementation of Westpac's data visualisation strategy within the Credit Risk team. This includes building visual heat maps across Australia on key metrics of Westpac’s $330 billion portfolio. Potential heightened attrition was highlighted at a geographic level with key drivers being portfolio performance, real estate market movements and specific customer segments of interest.- Consolidated and enhanced team’s central reporting data repository. This resulted in a time savings' benefit of 4-6 hours per week to complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis, whilst also uplifting consistency greatly across the team.- Developed matching logic and report used to alert the mortgage credit team of high exposures to apartment buildings in high density locations within the major capital cities.- Recommended and implemented logic changes to the calculation of The Group’s internal up-to-date view of the loan-to-value ratio across both the Westpac and St George portfolio, resulting in a more accurate measure to over half the mortgage portfolio.- Investigated system source code and created logic to calculate a true measure of delinquency, in response to APRA’s advised guidelines on delinquency calculation methodologies for customers experiencing hardship.

- Provided policy recommendations for the non-resident sector within the Westpac mortgage portfolio resulting in $400 million of new customer business within 12 months - Cross-referenced old data sources to align with provisioning capital factors across both retail and business portfolio, delivered to over 200 stakeholders and reduced the run time of the report by over 4 hours (32%)- Ran monthly meetings designed to inform stakeholders of any concerns in regards to economic factors impacting bad debt modelling forecasts for personal loans, credit cards and business loans
