I'm in career #2 and loving it! I have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering where I studied artificial neural networks applied to neuroscience and psychology...in the early 90s! Yep, I've been in AI and machine learning, and human learning and thinking, for 35 years. Then thirty years at MIT developing AI and software (10 yrs) and leading ~40-60 person research groups (20 yrs) that tackled some of the world's toughest problems. My learning never stopped, it only broadened. I worked the cutting edge, but with practical objectives.Now I'm on my own and bringing my expertise and experience to this new AI world, especially in education (K-12, higher ed, or continuing ed).
