Worked as a casual research assistant in the Digitally Distributed Music Archives and Libraries Lab under Ichiro Fujinaga at McGill university, as part of the Single Interface for Music Score Searching and Analysis project, which focuses on the processing of scanned historical music documents into searchable archives of symbolic music.Developed and published on methods for associating musical content with lyrical content in medieval chant manuscripts as part of SIMSSA’s end-to-end OMR workflow. Developing a job for SIMSSA’s workflow manager, Rodan, for encoding OMR results into archival-ready files using the Music Encoding Initiative standard. Worked on a team maintaining the Rodan web app, cleaning up and reorganizing its Docker configuration.

Lecturer for the course "Music and the Internet," a course covering the history of the Internet, a history of music formats and the music industry, data compression, music streaming services and databases, how to work with APIs. Taught coding skills in HTML / CSS / Javascript to music students to enable them to build their own websites.

Worked in the Computational Epidemiology Research Laboratory (CERL) under Dr. Armin Mikler at the University of North Texas on a team developing the RE-PLAN application for disaster response planning. Managed a GIS database of the North American road network and developed a mathematical model to predict traffic flow in disaster response scenarios.
