Champion of 10-15 highly automated manufacturing lines with 3-6 seconds cycle times and annual volume >10 million inflators. Led the commissioning and productionization of new automated systems from Germany. Defined and optimized parameters for 50+ “recipes” for various inflator configurations. Mentored staff on effective use of Six Sigma tools such as FMEA, control plans, Gage R&Rs, and Design of Experiments. Designed and reconfigured automated equipment for new products and configurations.

Designed, built, and commissioned two fully automated semiconductor systems for Au, Pd, and Cu plating. Led design-to-build efforts of recirculation and fluid transfer, pneumatic, and gantry systems using SolidWorks. Developed and iterated Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) using AutoCAD. Saved the company over $500k by thinking outside the box, challenging standard material selection, performing compatibility research and testing, and receiving customer’s approval.

Led a team of 25 technicians in a class 10k cleanroom which built atomic layer deposition (ALD) semiconductor equipment. Reduced assembly time by 20% and improved quality FPY by 40% by completely redesigning the production floor layout, rewriting work instructions, developing new tooling and fixtures, and improving material handling and flow.

Managed a team of technicians which performed repair, overhaul, and testing of aircraft components such as hydraulic actuators and spool valves, pneumatic drive units, starters, wire harnesses, ball screws, etc. Served as strategic resource for complex problem solving, process creation, process improvement, and tooling design. Championed initiatives that reduced days-to-quote metric by 70% (14 to 4 days) and significantly improved efficiency and product quality, resulting in a substantial reduction in warranty requests and higher customer satisfaction. As a result, the company was recognized as the top hydraulic shop globally by OneAero Awards in 2010.
