Tim worked on a proposal to upgrade a major tollway within the Melbourne Metropolitan Area and was involved with managing subcontractors undertaking geotechnical drilling, surveying, pavement testing and traffic control, as well as full time on site supervision in a challenging environment under live traffic. Other duties included project programming, liasing with relevant stakeholders and managing costs involved.

Hunter Expressway Project ($825 million).This $825 million dollar project runs forms part of the $1.7 billion dollar project which runs from the Sydney to Newcastle Freeway (F3) through to Branxton in the Upper Hunter. Tim was involved with the construction of 5 varying bridge structures, including 2 Super T bridges over the F3, a single span plank bridge and 2 Steel Girder Bridges over culturally significant areas. Tim spent 14 months with the roadworks team at the Newcastle interchange, focusing on detailed earthworks and finishing works. Tim completed his role at the Hunter Expressway with finishing works on structures at the Newcastle Interchange.

Tim worked as an undergraduate as part of the UNISS program (University of Newcastle Industry Scholarship) at the RTA for a period of four years, being involved in projects such as the Ballina Bypass Early Works, Swanbrook Bridge Alliance (Inverell, NSW), Bulahdelah Bypass Early Works and the Avalon Drive Pedestrian Bridge (Thornton, NSW).
