Software Engineer Support Specialist
CurrentSystem administration of Engineering Lab servers installed with Linux, IRIX, Windows and Mac OS along with other 3rd party hardware. This includes hardware configuration and software installation / configuration on HPC Linux Clusters and HPC Windows Clusters. The creation of virtual systems along with VMware EXSI systems and guest virtual systems.Includes but not limited to partitioning systems, system imaging, networking and storageconfiguration, and software tools installation. Severs that range from two processors and up 2048 processors with 2GB installed memory through Terabytes of installed memory. Along with the System Administration work, I assisted in the development of our teams Administrative Tool used with our Ticketing and Documentation system. I did the required QA testing for the Customer Service Lab access.Maintained and Administered the Customer Service Lab Network, DNS, User Account creation and deletion. Assigned hosts and hostname creation, troubleshoot, debugged and resolved all lab related issues or repairs. Performed system backups, restores, and monitored scheduled automated backups to make sure successful backup completion on all Customer Service productions systems. Maintained, Administered Customer Service Wiki pages and Lab Reservation Page. Tweaked and modified associated webpage PHP files, HTML files, shell scripts, and Apache web server as required.
