During my period at EIPA I was active within Unit 1 which deals with European Decision-Making. Next to my studies, I worked 20 hours per week within this Unit. I was responsible for updating and supervising the production of course materials used in the seminars organized for both national and EU officials in various areas. In addition, I collaborated in the development of case studies on EU legislative procedures. Moreover, I provided research assistance and practical support to the lecturers of the Unit.

After finishing my 2 month internship at Houthoff Buruma I requested my internship to be extended for 2 additional months in order to write my Master thesis under the supervision of Houthoff's competition attorneys. Upon obtaining a good assessment of my internship from the attorneys of Houthoff my request was granted. This resulted in me successfully finishing my thesis: "Price-squeezing in the United States and the European Union, a comparative review (How the Supreme Courts squeezes logic in its linkLine ruling)", which was graded 8,5/10 by Maastricht University.

During my internship at Houthoff Buruma I was part of the section "EU and Competion". In this capacity I was responsible for providing legal support to the section's attorneys on issues related to (Dutch) competition and telecommunication law. In addition, I occasionally provided assistance to attorneys within other sections.

As an intern at Fragomen Global LLP (Brussels) I was part of the Dutch Immigration Law section. This section provides legal advise in all matters concerning international (commercial) immigration. Such as international immigration advice, Dutch immigration advice and matters concerning (Dutch) visa and residence permit applications and procedures. In this context I was responsible for providing legal assistance for the legal professionals within the section. This included research on legal provisions; requirements for residence visas, work permits and apostilles/legislation; updating municipal and immigration procedures; writing assessments for individual case files; and providing legal support in client meetings
