I'm a problem solver - I love being presented with business objectives and figuring out solutions that fit within existing systems and standards and when necessary identifying new methods to fulfill business needs.Experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce Enterprise and Magento Enterprise Edition eCommerce platforms, specializing in integration with ERPs and other business systems including CGS BlueCherry, GEAC S/21 (iSeries), and PkMS WMS. Eleven years experience coding in Java and PHP including object-oriented in both, and of course the obligatory HTML/CSS/JS/AJAX frontend when called upon. Have written more SQL for IBM DB2 LUW, MySQL, DB2 i, and SQL Server than I care to remember, as well as having administered the former two flavors. Working knowledge of EDI X12, Apache, nginx, PHP-FPM, Windows and Linux (Fedora/RHEL based) administration, batch files, bash shell scripts, Subversion, some git, ACLs, DNS, and subnetting. Not a stranger to SOX documentation.Design and management of infrastructure in the AWS cloud including resource/cost planning, network design, and disaster recovery. Well versed in several services, primarily EC2, RDS, VPC, and ElastiCache (Redis). Successfully migrated Magento platforms to a full H.A. architecture via implementation of cross-zone auto scaling (w/ ELB) driven by CloudFormation while simultaneously integrating CodeDeploy and BitBucket to improve our development life cycle. Working knowledge of AWS API (PHP SDK and CLI), IAM roles and policies, CloudWatch alarms (including custom metrics), CloudWatch Logs, and several other services. My near term goals include continuing to grow my AWS skillset and to become AWS Solutions Architect certified.
