Experiences include:• Managing decision support system implementations for large health care systems (both Academic and non-academic) including physician practices - Managing development and testing of extracts from patient accounting systems (Epic, Invision and McKesson Series), Surgical Information System and ERP systems (Infinium, Lawson and PeopleSoft) - Conducting cost accounting studies to identify department charge codes and charge capture issues; create relative value units (RVUs) for all charges; reconciled (labor, supplies and capital) cost models back to GL and create detailed per unit cost for all utilization - Conducting cost allocation studies to identify and associate direct medical education, physician services and other patient care costs with patient care departments and define overhead allocation structures - Conducting a direct cost assignment project for the largest hospital system in NY city to reassigned over $560M of previously overhead cost to patient care departments - Creating payor contract models and auditing tool - Developing process to experience adjust modeled expected payments for reliable net revenue estimates required to support timely service line P&Ls and analytics• Conducting decisions support and cost accounting assessment, design and improvement roadmap projects for both large and small provider organizations (including leading design workshops on cost accounting, physician cost accounting and contract modeling, analytics strategy and decision support services service delivery
