In 2013 I was responsible for validation of the analog video capture sub-system of a DTV SoC. This consisted of pre-Si (emulation platforms) and post-Si (chip bring-up) testing. Blocks included- 4x12 bit DAC capable of over-sampling input across a range of frequencies,- SD analog video decoder with 2D/3D comb filtering and comprehensive VBI service support, and- Component video processor that handled HD analog formats as well as VBI services.

- SMP Support Engineer, providing engineering support for Sigma's SMP line of SoC products used in multimedia AV applications. Responsible for handling all technical questions and issues that customers have regarding Sigma's SDK, third party software, build/compile, hardware design, board layout, and custom applications. - Designed and executed test plans for on-chip characterization/validation of several media processor blocks within SMP chips. - Experienced building custom demos and software, and modified hardware, for customer and trade show presentations.

- Developed and maintained reference design application software which customers evaluate our high-end image processing products with and subsequently use as a basis for their system design.- Wrote device drivers supporting new RDK revisions with updated board components from FPGAs to video receivers/transmitters, using various system level interfaces (I2C, SPI, PWM, IR, GPIO).- Adapted application software into several different demos to exhibit unique and differentiating features at tradeshows including CES, NAB, IBC, CEDIA, and InfoComm.- Planned and executed block/system level characterization and validation of key ASIC blocks for several generations of VXP image processors.- Handled technical support for FAEs relating to customer projects/designs, in markets such as DTV, medical imaging, broadcast, and AV Receivers.
