I have been working as a technical systems analyst on a legacy mutual fund transfer agent application and its related systems, functions and processes. This includes: • Analyzing, evaluating, and making written recommendations for implementing improvements to the application.• Organizing and executing JAR/JAD/Backlog Grooming sessions to gather requirements, determine current state, make recommendations, and propose design solutions. • Functioning as a member of a Scrum development team in order to develop, test and deliver Money Market Reform according to company and industry deadlines.

I was seeking a senior level position in systems analysis, software development or information technology services, on Unix and/or Mainframe platforms in Boston and southward toward the Providence area.

I have developed and supported both large and small applications, using multiple platforms and technologies. My job roles have been in management, project and technical leadership, as well as individual contributions: • Built new multi-tiered application to schedule and deliver feeds across platforms, in collaboration with business partners. Role included requirements gathering, functional design, batch scheduling, Unix script development, QA testing and release management.• Simultaneously led multiple teams of international developers in a successful multi-million dollar application rewrite project.• Successfully managed production environments for a product line of 11 financial applications including change, problem and risk management. Represented product team in change control matters, ensuring ITIL practices were followed. Managed queue of 300+ defects from production incident to problem resolution, reducing total by 50%. Coordinated risk and audit concerns with the product team and the business, to enforce proper standards.• Supported production environments, as needed, including occasional disaster recovery testing.

I had analyzed, designed and developed financial applications across Unix and mainframe platforms. I contributed as a project leader, as well as individual contributor in various development projects. I also provided 24x7 technical leadership of production support for a product line of applications for the mutual fund transfer agency business.

I was an independent developer of mainframe applications, including small and mid-size application development projects. I also supported mainframe production applications, including disaster recovery.

I was a senior mainframe programmer, both developing and supporting applications for multiple mutual fund client companies. Replaced two legacy NSCC trading applications with newly designed application. I also contributed as a project leader of a group of online programmers, using CICS based vendor software, and supported production applications as a member of an oncall rotation.

I was a mainframe programmer, developing and supporting applications for multiple mutual fund client companies. Worked on project team to re-platform NSCC trading system from VAX to MVS. Also developed improvements and defect fixes for Dreyfus mutual fund client application. Supported production applications as a member of an oncall rotation.

I managed a small team of business systems/QA analysts, supporting the transfer agency business for the Eaton Vance mutual fund client company. I was the primary liaison between members of the client company and internal systems group regarding systems issues. Trained business systems analysts on proper methods for gathering requirements and testing. Executed Ad hoc queries and reports to support the needs of the business.

I was a full-time and part-time student mainframe programmer for the Financial Aid and Finance offices, while working towards my degree.
