Dr. Tim Fox, PhD, DABR, is a board-certified medical physicist with experience in academic medicine, software startups and medical device industry. In 2024, Tim joined Lumonus as their Chief Product Officer to help drive product vision and development in digital oncology and technology-enabled services. Prior to joining Lumonus, Tim led the GenesisCare global team in clinical technology and innovation with a focus on software and data. From 2014-2020, Tim was part of Varian Medical Systems with the acquisition of Velocity, the startup he co-founded focused on cancer imaging and treatment response. Early in his career, he provided clinical leadership as Director of Medical Physics for Radiation Oncology at Emory University in the clinical service, teaching and research areas. He is an author on more than 100 research manuscripts and abstracts, ten book chapters and multiple patents. He received his Ph.D. in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering from Georgia Tech, and he is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics.
