As the founder and president of Mightybytes, Inc., I lead a digital agency that has been helping social enterprises, sustainable brands, and large nonprofits achieve their business, marketing, and sustainability goals for over 26 years. I have a strong background in entrepreneurship, speaking, education, and environmentalism, and I am driven by the vision of using business as a force for good in the world.My agency is one of the first Public Benefit Corporations in Illinois and has been a Certified B Corp since 2011. As such, we meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. We apply accessibility and sustainability principles to the digital solutions we create for clients. We also offer workshops, webinars, and online courses in digital sustainability, Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR), and related topics. I am the author of four books on business, design, technology, and sustainability, and frequently present at conferences and workshops on various topics related to sustainable design, measuring impact, and problem solving in the digital economy. Since 2013, I have co-chaired the World Wide Web Consortium's Sustainable Web Design community group, creators of the Web Sustainability Guidelines (WSGs), the first-ever sustainability guidelines for the web.When not working, you can find me cycling or hiking through the woods, at the gym, or raising money for social and environmental charities. I am currently a board member with the Alliance for the Great Lakes.
