Manufacturing is a big part of my life. I came to Cavalier relatively late in my career and it was a whole new world for me. It was a company that had implemented everything I ever wanted in a process - little did I know what the next decade would bring! And they did so in an inclusive environment.It is not about what is best for the owner, it is about what is best for Cavalier. That overriding tenet has been key to our phenomenal growth over the last several years!I didn’t start in the shop. I started in sales 30 years ago and worked on the floor on Saturdays to better understand what it takes to build molds; spending my spare time hanging around tryouts presses and asking questions - because tryout press operators have seen EVERYTHING!Family is also very important to me, as husband, father and grandfather. I know this: something magical happens when a father turns into a grandfather! Scuba diving is also a newer interest and now passion. Ask me about how I retrieved a set of keys from a lake bottom! I am a certified Divemaster and what I love most about this hobby is that I get to fly like Superman and breathe underwater like Aquaman at the same time!On weekends I get to shift gears (pun intended) by rebuilding (and sometimes driving) my 1975 convertible Corvette and cruising the backroads on my motorcycle. I look forward to traveling the world again and diving in exotic places. Another industry side-gig is my volunteer work with the Canadian Association of Mold Makers (CAMM). I've served on the CAMM Board for over 12 years; it is very satisfying to give back to an industry that has given me so much. Through my position as vice-chair, advocating and advising allows me to use my many years in this industry so that I can leave it better than when I entered it.
