As Senior Developer at Line Industries I am responsible for the front end development and project management for a wide range of clients, large and small.My role on these projects covers everything from the initial pitch and spec, day-to-day coding and implementation, testing and debugging as well as project management and client relations.Some of the projects that I have been proud to have been involved in include:Pan Macmillan: Moving panmacmillan.com from a monolith CMS to a headless/static architecture combining Kentico Kontent and Gatsby. External content sources included Good Reads, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. I also created a custom plugin to parse book and author data from an ONIX feed and extracts of books from Pan Macmillan's own API.The move dramatically improved site speed and improved SEO rankings.https://www.panmacmillan.com/Penguin Random House: "Roost", UK-wide intranet borne out of the merger of Penguin and Random House. PRH wanted to build on WordPress due to a preference for open source technologies. Managing user permissions and personalisation across multiple UK sites was an important part of the process and integration with Active Directory provides staff with a seamless single sign-on across networked devices.The site is hosted on PRH infrastructure. I work closely with the PRH team as well as project managing the Line Industries team to support the intranet and continuously refine and develop new features.Global Lung Cancer Coalition: Working with the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and Incisive Health I developed the Global Lung Cancer Atlas. The atlas combines data from around the globe and allows users to visualise and compare key lung cancer indicators, Plotted on a Google Map the visualisations include charts and heat maps.https://www.lungcancercoalition.org/e-atlas/
