I am leading the newsroom for the Sinclair-owned CBS affiliate in the Queen City. Over the past 5 years, we have lost more than 500 years of television news experience, most of that to retirement. Despite that, we remain at or near the top of TV and digital ratings. We research our customers regularly and use that information to fine tune our strategy. We constantly produce enterprise, relevant, accountability-based content.

I ran day-to-day editorial operations at this Bright House-owned 24-hour local news channel. I worked with the leadership team on personnel development, product management, as well as optimizing strategic partnerships with the other members of the BH Local Programming Group. We significantly grew our digital numbers, as well as ratings in the key morning and evening day parts.

Fostered change in our products - both current and additional, led the station through transitions among 3 General Managers, hired several dozen new employees.

I manage a staff of 77, leading them to create compelling local content for the TV, web and mobile screens. We are working to change the way TV news is done in Sacramento. I like some of the early steps - wait until you see what's coming.

Helped create one of the best company collaborations among Gannett TV/newspapers, improved the product through good strategy and team execution, created signature station moments during big breaking news.

Led the transition to a new building, helped create the first NBC/Telemundo merged newsroom in U.S., won 4 Regional Murrow Awards, created first-of-its-kind partnership with the Miami Dolphins, never lost an 11pm ratings battle.

Helped run day-to-day editorial decision-making in News Department. Key liaison for WB-produced 10pm newscast. Also in charge of budget decisions as well as all newsroom scheduling for 110 employees.

I produced the 10p news back when the station was owned by Great American and an NBC station.

I produced the 11pm for the first half of my time there, then switched to the 6pm.
