I managed the IT integration of the UK vaccines division into MSD from Sanofi Pasteur MSD, gaining valuable experience in merging pharmaceutical businesses to ensure business continuity and growth while meeting regulatory and compliance needs.

In 2011, the company’s IT delivery model changed to provide pan-European standardised platforms aligned to global objectives, but adapted to the local environment.I became a member of the European IT leadership team, established effective UK IT-business relationships and regularly attended directors' meetings. I managed the governance, delivery, continuous improvement and uptake of IT systems and new technologies, through managing a small IT team, hands-on business analysis, project management, change management, problem solving and helpdesk assistance. Example projects:Delivered and promoted Veeva Vault (PromoMats) in the UK. Trained stakeholders,ensuring full adoption of a single, central digital asset management repository, enabling commonprocesses across Europe and seamless integration with Veeva CRM.Rolled out a new transparency tracking/reporting and speaker engagement tool (NAYA), integrating it with SAP and Veeva CRM, enabling efficient reporting and a compliant engagement process.Integrated Veeva with internal systems and third-party data sources to provide a comprehensivecustomer view in the field to the sales force.Delivered in eight months a new e-commerce solution, V@xishop, working with business ownerand supplies to provide customer-focused online B2B services. Registered usersincreased by 80% within a year and sales conducted on line increased by 50%.Led the full project life-cycle management of the Veeva CRM solution in the UK and theintroduction of mobile sales force effectiveness, leading to rapid adoption of CLM detailing andapproved email in the UK. Partnered with third-parties to develop and host secure online tools for health care payers andproviders, providing new, credible ways to engage with customers and support vaccine uptake.

I managed a small team of software developers to develop bespoke business applications closely tailored to business needs, to configure and customise Saas systems such as salesforce.com and to provide daily applications support and business intelligence services. Project examples:Led the development of medical enquiry system on global CRM platform, enabling the medical information team to deliver approved, compliant and tracked medical information to healthcare professionals and the lay public through multiple channels.Created and promoted the software development project process and introduced processes to assure the quality of systems.Led the rebuild of an HCP-oriented online vaccination information service, improving the user experience and nearly doubling usage in a year.Managed the implementation of HR self-service portal for appraisal, remuneration review and absence reporting.Led the development of a procurement workflow and contracts database, enabling efficient and compliant procurement processes.

I mentored other developers and managed outsourced systems development.Prepared for product launch: restructuring of data in salesforce.com CRM, implementation of data segregation, customer re-segmentation and integration with third-party CRM; development of SFE dashboards; and worked with marketing to develop HCP- and patient-facing websites.Developed a workflow application for managing tender submissions and lifecycle, enabling efficient, digitalised management of tender pricing and submission.

As a team leader, I was responsible for the profitability of the web development business, developing new web-based services and for managing an e-commerce team comprising software and database developers, graphic designers and web marketeers.
