WeFarmShop. My most exciting project to date as it brings together many of my experiences into a space that is crying out for a high quality solution. We all want to support small batch/ local farmers and producers, as we love their passion, their stories and the quality produce they make - but the kicker is that it needs to be made easy. That means a great App, and workable solutions for customer convenience, value, delivery cost, and packaging.It’s going to be exciting, challenging and fascinating - and, in May 2023, the journey is about to begin.My entrepreneurial journey started after I qualified as an accountant at KPMG - I soon figured out that I wasn’t wired for the corporate world.A chance conversation with my brother Andrew in 1995 resulted in us founding Haggards Brewery, including The Imperial, King’s Road and The Bad Jelly Company. During my time at Haggards Crowther, I supported hundreds of small business, in many cases acting in an informal FD role. My Bookkeeping Online was a simple, pragmatic online bookkeeping solution. We were early adopters of downloading bank statements for use in a bookkeeping environment. I learnt valuable lessons about the complexities of developing websites and software as a service, although we ultimately got beaten to the punch by Xero!
