My time at the Art Institute of Philadelphia has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. Unfortunately, the school closed at the end of the year and that chapter of my life closed with it. I primarily taught classes on post-production, graphics and animation, but really enjoyed the opportunities I had to teach producing and directing, script writing and TV studio production. My job responsibilities included cutting promotional spots, creating network graphics packages and editing sales and marketing presentation pieces. I also maintain our 6 Avid systems and provide on-site support as needed.

I provided demo and technical support for digital video products including Avid, Media100, Discreet and Sonic Solutions. I planned and conducted private and group demos on-site and at our Manhattan and Philadelphia offices. When it was needed I built systems for delivery and provided both on-site and phone based customer support.

I worked as a freelancer after Video Central closed until VCA acquired the Avid dealership in Philadelphia. I provided certified Avid DS training and worked as an Avid editor on 3 Television series.Freelance customers: Nancy Glass Productions, Stonehouse Media, Shadowbox Pictures, Center City Film & Video, QVC, NFL Films and Crawford Communications.

Responsible for Technical Sales, Demo, Installation, Support and Training on Avid Technologies DS video systems. Traveled extensively to cover East Coast company from Pittsburgh to Miami, and Puerto Rico. Clients included HBO Latin America, MTV Latin America, QVC and more. Certified ACSR, ACI, and Demo. Offices closed July 2002.

Account Executive in charge of Digital Editing Equipment sales in western Florida; Primarily Avid systems. Managed office in Clearwater and scheduled demos and events to grow the business. Cleared $500k in revenue my first year.

My first job out of school, I was one of 2 Avid editors at this local station in Tampa. We were the WB affiliate at the time of my employment. My responsibilities were to edit promotional spots, cut-down movies for air, dub incoming commercials to the Betacart tapes, and edit presentation videos for sales and marketing.I left to work for Video Central as an Account Executive. I saw the opportunity to make broader professional connections and gain contacts within the industry.
