I love people and I thrive in bringing others together to make a difference in the world. As an event planner, supervisor, teacher, writer, pastor, and nonprofit leader, I care deeply for others and form relationships easily while at the same time manage details and projects with precision.My love for people is a product of my upbringing. Raised in inner-city Harrisburg (PA) and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, I've had the privilege to learn to speak Spanish fluently, meet people from around the globe, and work together for the common good. My interests are in anti-racism work, confronting climate change, and making progress on issues of social justice. As a coordinator for a national conference of 2,500 participants, I managed multiple projects at once, oversaw complex logistics, and supervised over a hundred staff and volunteers. I have experience working with a $1,000,000 budget and managing a database. I developed an innovative communications and recruitment strategy that reached thousands of constituents, resulting in new levels of engagement.As a program director for a regional nonprofit, I recruited, hired, and supervised 30+ staff members, 100+ volunteers, and welcomed 700+ program participants annually. I developed and led a comprehensive two-week annual staff training event. I maintained a communications calendar and published across a variety of platforms. And I assisted with fundraising work, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars raised for the organization. As a pastor, I spoke and taught publicly on issues of faith, peace, and justice to a diverse audience, supported the work of the board and various committees, and offered compassionate pastoral care as needed. I'm eager to offer my administrative, organizational, and people skills to a nonprofit organization doing inspiring work to serve others.
