I teach business courses in the Technology, Design & Technical Education department of the College of Agriculture and Applied Science at Utah State University. Although I work from the USU Eastern campus in Price, UT; I instruct students throughout the state of Utah and beyond. My priority is to empower students to lead successful lives of involvement, innovation, and impact. The academic subjects I focus on are business/management principles, business communications, and organizational behavior.

Moxie Logistics is the exclusive warehousing and fulfillment partner for the Beddy's brand of products. Reported directly to the Moxie Logistics president/managing partner and is an advising member of the Beddy's executive leadership team. Developed strategic plans in line with the company's objectives to reduce costs and increase effectiveness. Directed all operational activities related to warehousing, fulfillment, and talent management. Developed resource plans and budgets for cost accounting and practical asset utilization. Contributed to activity cost accounting for financial reports and statements. Negotiated vendor and service contracts and agreements to maximize returns on investment which, to date, represent an annualized savings of over $800k on a recurring basis. Recruited, trained, and retained high-performing leaders. Created a culture and climate of excellence that emphasized professionalism, productivity, proactiveness, and positivity resulting in high employee engagement and retention. Monitored continuous improvement efforts and lean-based projects. Built shared understanding and cross-functional support through effective communication and analysis. Lead organizational change and directed the relocation of all inventories, warehousing equipment, fulfillment operations, and offices during 2022. Officer in Charge of the Utah Translation & Analysis Center organized to provide unique services to the Department of Defense and its partners. 200+ military and civilian employees with high technical skills in support of national defense strategies. Led the organization through momentous change and redesign. Developed and led strategic initiatives to align the organization with updated law, policy, and Secretary of Defense priorities. Built and communicated innovative methods of objectively measuring service member readiness levels resulting from daily operations and training. Created and executed budget plans and resource requirements to provide superior stewardship of congressionally appropriated funds. Deliberately implemented and sustained an organizational culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence. Gained stakeholder trust and advocacy through coalition building and strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships. Provided direct mentorship and development for members of my leadership team and staff.

Language Section Chief for the 300th Military Intelligence Brigade. The 300th Military Intelligence Brigade is the only linguist brigade in the U.S. Army composed of 1500 service members. As language Section Chief, I oversaw all foreign language-related strategic plans, operations, and training. Oversaw the planning and execution of the annual language conference which is the largest and longest-running professional language conference in the Department of Defense. The Language Section Chief reports directly to the brigade operations officer and the brigade commander.

Program Manager and general staff officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff - Intelligence of the Army National Guard of the U.S. Managed an emerging U.S. Army technical program and capabilities for specialized units and personnel critical to national defense modernization. Responsible for contracting and procurement of innovative military intelligence technologies and resources critical to national defense initiatives. Ensured contract compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Economy Act. Developed budgets and resource requirements in line with congressional authorizations and appropriations specific to Army intelligence platforms. Created planning benchmarks and regularly communicated program reports for senior executive leadership. Assisted with authoring new U.S. Army regulation, policies, and operations plans related to the core competencies of my program. Served as a Crisis Action Team officer in charge for the Army National Guard's response to hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria focused on infrastructure and supply line analysis. Provided a weekly threat intelligence brief to the Director, Army National Guard detailing global events relative to national security.

Executive Administrator for the 142nd Military Intelligence battalion. The battalion executive administrator exercises the duties and responsibilities of second-in-command, chief of staff, and coordinator. Integrated and synchronized staff activities to optimize battalion operations and effectiveness. Oversaw the information management and communications within the battalion. Monitored all administrative and resourcing activities. Supervised the military decision‑making process (MDMP) and orders production. Officer in charge of the 20+ active-duty personnel assigned to organize, train, and equip the battalion of over 400 service members in the Utah Army National Guard. Responsible executive for the day-to-day personnel (human resources), operations, and resource activities for the battalion and subordinate companies in support of the battalion commander's mission and vision.

Commanding officer of a military intelligence unit composed of 75-100 soldiers. Responsible for mission readiness, collective training, property accountability, soldier morale and welfare, as well as good order and discipline.

Current operations, continued training, fiscal budgeting, and future plans for an organization of over 400 service members. The training and operations officer is the executive charged with coordinating tasks and issuing orders on a daily basis for the operations officer.

Lead and direct small unit tactics and training for a U.S. Army combat engineer platoon (Sapper)
