I've worked as a practitioner of health and safety most of my professional career. Specifically in the field of process control using mechanical interlocks and lockout/tagout systems. I have succeeded in roles of design, project management, sales and business development.Out of school I trained as a craft technician using machine tools such as lathes and milling centers. To this day, I can still operate these machines and with practice, can still form a decent welded joint.In 2010 I founded Total Lockout (Safety) Ltd, initially as a distributor for Master Lock and later adding other manufacturers to our product range, enabling the company to offer a more complete range.In 2014 I founded Total Lockout Safety LLC in the USA. This is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK company.In 2016 Our EINTAC business evolved from our lockout/tagout activity in the automotive maintenance and repair sector. In early 2020 it broke away into a stand-alone company and is now a market leader in the provision of training, speciality insulated hand tools and clothing for vehicle technicians working on electric and hybrid vehicles.Today these businesses are successful because I am motivated to differentiate by understanding the problems my customers face, and coming up with practical solutions. This is achieved through knowledge and understanding of machinery safety processes, and the Approved Codes of Practice that govern how they're used, including PUWER (Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations, 1998 and EAWR (Electricity at Work Regulations 1989).I give thanks to all the influential bosses and colleagues I have worked with, who have help shaped my career and the success I've achieved.
