Socialcast was acquired by VMware in May 2011 for over $100 million and is now a core part of it's Airwatch mobile strategy. Socialcast became one of the first Enterprise Social Networks, providing secure internal communication and collaboration for large organizations. Originally bootstrapped by myself as the sole founder in Irvine, CA, I moved the company to San Francisco in 2009 after raising venture capital from True Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and early Facebook executives. I led the product vision and architecture from initial concept to acquisition. I also personally led the enterprise-wide sales deals at NASA, General Motors, Nokia, Humana, Philips, Dreamworks, Random House, Target, Vans, Philip Morris, Nickelodeon, SAS, Delta, CNN, Factset, Johnson & Johnson, and many others.
