As the Environmental Partnerships Lead at Thames Water, I support the company’s mission to restore the health of our rivers by leading engagement with the environmental stakeholder community. I work closely with NGOs, rivers trusts, wildlife trusts, and community groups across our service area to identify and implement greener, nature-based solutions (NBS), sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), and innovative strategies to replace traditional infrastructure challenges.I am responsible for coordinating our engagement across 25 catchment partnerships, ensuring a consistent approach while identifying joint working opportunities to deliver impactful environmental outcomes. A key aspect of my role includes leading the development of frameworks that transition the business toward a catchment-led organisation, prioritising environmental projects for PR24, and embedding these frameworks into the business.I manage Thames Water’s input into high-profile partnership projects like the Rivers Trust Catchment Monitoring Cooperative trial, and I proactively engage stakeholders to improve transparency of how our business operates and performs. My role also involves representing Thames Water at major external meetings, and high profile events.With over 14 years of experience and a strong environmental science background, I provide expert advice on emerging local environmental issues, funding opportunities, and community investment projects. Leading a team of dedicated professionals, I ensure we deliver a cohesive strategy that drives environmental sustainability and supports our stakeholders.

Responsible for strategy development and justification of a £60m Surface Water Management Programme.Medium to long term planning. Influence and prioritise capital investment needs to the business using asset management and decision support tools.

Responding to stakeholder correspondence for a specific geographical area.Leading working groups for specific investment areas; representing the Strategy, Planning & Assurance Team. Ensuring a prioritised list of investment needs is actively updated and maintained utilisinginformation gained from environmental data, odour levels, asset performance, network modelling, decision support tools, asset condition and risk assessments.Identifying significant issues and risks for the assets. Ensuring needs are recorded on the Asset Planning System. Attending Risk Review meetings to discuss prioritisation of Risks and Needs.Analysing and collating data from a variety of sources across Thames Water, from which you will be required to support solution definition and justification.Undertaking asset studies to identify simple causes and solutions. Ensuring clear justification and mitigation plan exists. Specifying resources required to undertake complex studies.Writing and presenting needs statements that will form study briefs to Alliance partners.Providing active support to functional teams and Alliance partners to ensure asset plans are deliverable.Reviewing benefits from completed solutions to assess against baseline assumptions.
