As the Advisory Director at TTRO, I led the transformative Capability and Performance Advisory function, ensuring its strategic alignment with our organizational goals and driving growth of our advisory offerings to clients. My role involved developing revenue growth and ensuring that our service offering was robust and effective for our clients. I relied on a data-driven approach to continuously evaluate programme effectiveness and demonstrate the tangible ROI of our learning investments.In addition, working directly with Anglo American, I crafted customized learning and leadership programmes that enriched learning provision for business units. By adopting a learner-centric approach and integrating cutting-edge technologies, I created engaging learning experiences, continuously identifying improvement opportunities.

I supported conception and development of new competence assurance process and competence frameworks within Network Rail's Central Training Function. I had a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, optimising performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. I was aided by my skills as a strong communicator adept at managing stakeholders and delivering projects on time and within budget.

As both Training Portfolio Manager (TPM) and Senior TPM, I have been responsible for a significant increase in the quality and scale of outputs in operations training development – particularly during the initial response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in response to previous internal audit requirements. This was predicated on my ability to manage and influence the Network Rail team, our external customers and wider stakeholders together with my organisational skills. Moreover, I put in place robust project planning methodologies aligned to our internal process and ensured increased emphasis on identifying performance measurement criteria for evaluation. I combined this approach with a pragmatic focus on impactful learning solutions that facilitate business change.

Analysis of training, assessment, and assurance requirements using approved Network Rail tools and practices for assigned programme in order to recommend creative, cost effective solutions that meet prevailing organisational imperatives and learner needs.Provision of instructional design expertise for the analysis, design and implementation considerations, of learning and assurance solutions to agreed time, budget, and quality standards, for use in online, blended and face-to-face events.Leadership of training design workshops to agree design specifications, technical requirements, and deliverables. Compliance with Network Rail safety, branding, design, accessibility, and diversity and inclusion policies as well as technical guidelines.Communication of programme progress as required to relevant internal and external stakeholders.Continuous review of the effectiveness of analysis and design activities to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency, incorporating lessons learned into future programmes.Proactive research of new training delivery methodologies and application of this knowledge when evaluating training design options.

The duties of this role were focused on developing and maintaining a culture of educational excellence across a school of 450 children, ranging from 3-11 years of age. This included:- Strategic leadership through the formulation and implementation of the school development plan;- The writing, review and monitoring of a range of policies linked to teaching, learning and assessment;- Leadership of more than 25 teaching and learning staff, including line management of phase leaders;- Oversight and implementation of performance management for teaching and learning staff;- Evaluation of learning and assessment across the school, including data visualisation and KPI reporting;- Working with the head teacher and business manager to oversee budgets for teaching and learning staff, CPD and resources, including writing grant applications for subject-specific funding;- Local authority moderation; verifying statutory assessments across Milton Keynes and the surrounding area in line with Department for Education requirements.
