Tim is a Senior IT Specialist with 20 years experience in IT and 18 years experience in Db2 for the distributed platforms. He is currently a Sales Professional for the Hybrid Data Management and Analytics team in Australia, with specific focus on the Hybrid Data Management platform, which includes the Db2 data server and related cloud offerings, including Db2 for SAP, Db2 competitive offerings, the Integrated Analytics System and the Integrated Data Management tooling. He is currently living in and based out of Melbourne.Tim provides technical assistance to the IBM Information Management Sales team and customers across all industries in Australia and New Zealand. His expertise covers all aspects of DB2 on the distributed platforms. He also provides assistance in proposed technology architectures, software sizing and integration with Data Warehousing and Big Data solutions.Currently Tim is the Data Management and Tools Champion for Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Big Data "black belt", and is responsible for staying up to date with the latest product releases, providing Proof of Technology sessions, internal and customer focused technical presentations and for providing feedback to the development team. As his primary responsibility is to support the Information Management sales team, he responds to customers' requests for information on the IM products. This includes delivering technical presentations on the IM product set, covering the latest features of the new release of DB2, and the IBM Big Data platform as well as discussing relevant customer references. He has assisted customers with software pricing and licensing compliance and where appropriate advised on corrective licensing measures. Over the last 3 years Tim has focused very heavily on the emerging Big Data technologies with in IBM.
