In my role at Consultwebs, I wrote blog posts for law firms on a variety of legal topics. SEO was a big focal point, but so was creating unique, informative, and readable content.

Big Rock Sports is a sporting goods company, and I was brought in to add some creativity to the marketing department. As copywriter, I wrote pretty much everything: product descriptions, blog posts, webpages, magazine articles. I also wrote and edited marketing copy for emails, web and print ads, and catalogs. I worked closely with team members.

MatchFlick is a place for people to go to learn about all-things movies. I wrote a twice-monthly column on both new and older films, actors, genres, and many other movie-related topics. Not reviews per se, but more of an exploration of my personal connection with film. A large part of my job consisted of doing a lot of research to find information, dates.

Youth1 is one of the premier resources for youth sports information. I wrote player profiles, game recaps, and feature stories. I also conducted interviews and research on sporting events and athletes in order to find unique angles to use for feature stories.

FindMeSpecials was a one-stop shop for restaurant deals, club events, and anything else that would be of interest to people looking to have a good time and save some money. In addition to doing research to find these specials, I would write the descriptions in a way that would get folks excited about them. I also edited and proofread web content.

As one of the founding writers of the Portland Fiction Project, I provided weekly creative content for the group's website. I also helped other writers perfect their work through editing, feedback, and collaboration.

For the 2008 season of the Portland Beavers (formerly the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres), I attended numerous games and interviewed players, coaches, and other team personnel. I wrote game recaps and searched for intriguing storylines that would make for interesting and not run-of-the-mill feature stories.
