About Tim Keller
My career can be summarized as one of constant learning. Since graduating from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors in Computer Engineering and right up until today I have constantly been learning new tools and techniques not only to enhance my credentials but also to satisfy my curiosity and fascination with technology.Starting as a software engineer way back when, I developed products for multiple industries using a wide variety of tools and languages. Though very satisfied with this track, I had a yearning to be closer to the customers of my products. Eventually, I found a new home in product management. As a product manager I was exposed to a whole new world outside the friendly confines of my cubicle. Suddenly, I was not only working with customers to solve their problems but with virtually every organization throughout the company. I came to realize that it wasn't just the technology that determined if a product would be successful but the whole company; from the operations team, to customer service, supply chain, IT, quality, sales and of course engineering. Everyone is critical to success and as a product manager I get the luxury of working will all of them.I really love being a product manager. I'm good at building relationships, I'm good at explaining complex topics to non-technical people, I'm good at helping people understand the importance of their role to the success of my products and to the company, and I'm good in front of customers.
