Tim is currently working on the "Like2Pay" project at the Blockchain Competence Center Mittweida. The aim is to develop a payment service prototype on the Bitcoin Lightning network. The aim is to provide a cost-effective and fast alternative to credit card payments. The prototype is to be tested in stores in Mittweida.In his first project at the BCCM in the "Community Supported Insurance" project, Tim researched a blockchain-based system for decentralized risk insurance. The IN3 client is a crypto-economic, non-synchronizing and stateless blockchain client with minimal resource requirements. IN3 enables secure and decentralized connection of a wide range of microcontrollers (general IoT devices) to a blockchain. Through Tim's work, IN3 now supports Bitcoin in addition to Ethereum. In his bachelor thesis as well as a scientific paper, Tim has summarized the results of the work.
