Inspired by his first experiments in 2010 using the iPhone 4 to image the retina and further encouraged by the Dr Roger Armour a retired vascular surgeon who presented his 1$ ophthalmoscope to Tim and his colleagues at BrAVO, Tim spends much of his spare time trying to invent and modify existing , readily available equipment and technologies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic disease in all species.His aim is to create a series of ophthalmic diagnostic and therapeutic instruments which can be readily and cheaply distributed.

Based in the beautiful Cotswold town of Wotton Under Edge the Equine Eye Clinic offers advanced diagnostic and surgical options for equine ophthalmology. Including cataract surgery by phacoemulsification with intra-ocular lens implantation, trans-corneal, trans-scleral and intra-ocular endoscopic laser treatment for glaucoma and ocular neoplasia, electroretinography and advanced corneal microsurgery.
