Researched direct injection (DI) diesel engines: study of the relationships among injection timing, premixed/diffusion burn, and brake torque, followed by study of the combination of low heat rejection (LHR) and low temperature combustion (LTC) techniques in an effort to defeat the shortcomings of both methods.My experience includes proposal writing, technical literature review, IC engine combustion science, DI diesel phenomenology and special topics, data reduction and analysis, thesis writing, and oral presentation.
