My professional journey has been as dynamic as my time on the football field at the University of Pittsburgh, where I transitioned from a walk-on to a scholarship athlete/three-year letterman. Having sustained a torn ACL (2 knee surgeries), broken collar bone, and separated shoulder (shoulder surgery), this path has not only shaped my resilience, persistence, teamwork and leadership, but has also played a critical role in my career trajectory through a progression of roles at some of the largest organizations in the nation. Beginning in sales at Bally Total Fitness, PNC Bank and Wells Fargo, I developed a keen sense for business dynamics and customer engagement across vast corporate landscapes, honing my ability to read and respond to diverse business environments. These experiences were crucial in developing my emotional intelligence and people skills, all critical attributes that have been fundamental in my current leadership role at AAC. At Education Management Corporation (EDMC), Dick's Sporting Goods (DSG) and American Addiction Centers (AAC), I deepened my expertise in training and development, shaping organizational cultures that align with corporate visions at a large scale. These roles not only enhanced my strategic project management skills but also my public speaking and change management abilities, enabling me to effectively lead teams and leaders through transitions and growth. Currently, as the Chief Human Resources Officer at AAC, I draw upon my cumulative athletic and professional experiences to lead our HR initiatives, including but not limited to culture, employee retention and engagement, position control, and human capital management. Working at AAC through periods of growth and significant change has taught me the value of humility in the workplace. Much like my time playing Division I football, I've learned to view each decision as an opportunity to refine my approach for the future, gaining wisdom and experience that are often less accessible in organizations that are not experiencing growth. Throughout, whether in high-stakes environments of Division 1 football, large organizations, or strategically guiding growth at AAC, my foundational principles of success include working collaboratively as one team, to develop good people and processes to deliver superior products.

The "Why" behind the Deuce Sleeves Brand? While I never set out to become an addict, I didn't intentionally set out to start the Deuce Sleeves Brand either. As faith would have it, the Deuce Sleeves Brand has evolved into a vehicle that I am using to pay forward the blessing that I received when I got clean. Regardless of the challenges you face, the size of a goal, or everyone who doubts your potential, my goal is to inspire you to never give up or lose faith on your journey."How" will you build the Deuce Sleeves Brand?Via my faith in God, by sharing the testimony of my mistakes in life (10-year addiction), and through the Brand Icon, a Hummingbird. Also known as God's tiny miracle, the Hummingbird symbolizes strength and persistence to Rise Above trouble and hardship. "What" is the end-goal of Deuce Sleeves Brand?Build a nationally recognized brand.Website: www.deucesleeves.comInstagram: @deucesleeves
