Co-created scripts for the building of artificial intelligence to process thoughts and feelings for movie viewers while evaluating them through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Worked at an APA accredited multiple site community mental health centers within the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health (DMH) with treatments such as intensive milieu, Full Service Partnerships (FSP), Transition Age Youth (TAY), and adult outpatient. Provided psychological assessments for a broad spectrum of underserved ethnic minority background clients who include children, adolescents, and their families involved in foster care and legal systems. Testing based on referrals for diagnosis clarification, service delivery of administration, scoring, interpretation, and report-writing of cognitive and projective testing. Assessment instruments included WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, MCMI-III, MMPI-II, Woodcock-Johnson III, TAT, H-T-P, Kinetic family, Roberts-2, and Rorschach. Provided feedback to clients, families, and multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and mental health personnel to establish the course of treatment.

Provided individual, milieu therapy, brief consultation, and group therapy to low-income African, Hispanic, Asian, and Caucasian background clients between the ages of 20 to 60 years old who present with mild to severe Axis I and Axis II mental illnesses. Presenting problems included co-morbid substance abuse, disability, court-mandated issues, adjustment disorders, identity disorders, psychotic disorders, and mood disorders. Treatment consisted of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and relapse prevention/wellness groups. Worked in a multi-disciplinary team with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, and medical assistants. Weekly individual supervision, didactic seminars, and group supervision. Prepared and maintain documentation with e-clinical works (eCW). Presented cases and discussion with peers in group supervision. Analyzed outcomes assessment of bi-annual client satisfaction with agencies within the organization.

Trained and stationed in Ft. Benning, GA, Ft. Sam Houston San Antonio, TX, and Ft. Lewis, WA as well as other smaller attached units. During my deployment of Operation Enduring Freedom, manage outpatient care to over 5,500 soldiers in the Soldier Readiness Services (SRS) for pre and post-deployment screening. Coordinate schedules and time cards to six doctoral providers and eight master’s level providers. Train new administration employees. Provide mental health related briefings to include suicide awareness and prevention. Support the medical mission for other Army units in Sustained Readiness Program (SRP). Instruct and simulate current war scenarios to prepare the leadership of Army units for deployment. Did a few missions in Ft. Hood, TX and Ft. Bliss, TX to provide medical support for training exercises.

Taught, equipped, and empowered high school and college students with helpful communication tools and social skills.
