The NEAT ID Foundation was founded in 2012 by a group of 12 European HIV and Infectious Disease specialists. It's objectives are to develop new strategies and approaches to the treatment of HIV and associated infectious diseases, promote networking of trans- national research, from proof-of-principle to Phase III - IV Clinical Trials; and Integrate leading HIV/AIDS research Institutions and Clinical Centres through a coherent, multidisciplinary and durable research programme.

After 8 years as Founder and CEO of Delphic Diagnostics I continued as Non-Executive Director in support of the Board, Executive Chairman and newly appointed CEO. The business was acquired in November 2009 by Lab21 Ltd.

I founded Delphic in 2001 as a sales and marketing company in HIV clinical diagnostics in the UK. Delphic developed via a series of fundraisings, organic growth and acquisitions into a specialist laboratory company providing esoteric and high-end diagnostics and global clinical trials services to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. By building a specialist team and applying their expertise in Pharmacology, Virology and Pharmacogenetics, Delphic provided a “one stop-shop” for HIV and HCV diagnostics. It was the first company to routinely provide pharmacogenetics testing in clinical diagnostics and was a pioneer in Personalised Medicine and Companion Diagnostics.As CEO I led the executive team and Board of Directors in the operational and strategic management of the businesses. I managed the fundraising activities of the company with a diverse group of investors and devised and implemented a series of strategic acquisitions over a four year period. I grew the company’s capabilities in the healthcare and clinical trials markets in the UK and globally. This enabled Delphic to maintain market share and exploit new opportunities as well as leverage established customers and supply routes with new tests and services.

After an advisory role during the initial start-up phase of this Clinical Trials Unit, I was appointed Non-Executive Director of both Phase II and Phase III & IV businesses.

Priceline.com Europe rolled out the Priceline.com "name your own prices" business model across Europe. It was one of the first successful Web 1.0 companies.I worked closely with the European President and CEO during the start-up and roll-out phases. I kick started the finance department, established banking and credit card clearance facilities, and provided financial support and advice to the commercial departments for the European roll out.

Serono was a £30m turnover sales and marketing subsidiary of Biotechnology company Ares-Serono SA(now part of Merck Serono).I was Finance Director at a time of rapid growth and radical change as Serono developed from being a provider of urinary based Reproductive Health products into Europe's leading Biotechnology company.

Roche Products Ltd was the £450m turnover UK subsidiary of F.Hoffmann La-Roche (then Europe's second largest company). The company was involved in the production, sales and marketing of pharmaceutical, diagnostics, OTC and bulk vitamin products. Reporting directly to the UK Finance Director I was responsible for Financial management, Treasury and Banking relations, Corporate reporting, Corporate tax, PPRS and acquisitions and divestments(M&A).
