I am an expert facilitator, executive coach and organisational development consultant with over 25 years of experience in the areas of leadership development, change management and innovation. I also have extensive experience of business development, leading consulting teams, and stakeholder relationship management.I have a BA in Social Psychology and an MA in Systems-Psychodynamic Approaches to Leadership and Consulting from the Tavistock Clinic. I started my consulting career as part of a multi-disciplinary facilitation team attached to Ernst & Young's Accelerated Solutions Environment (ASE), supporting collaborative problem-solving workshops as part of larger strategic change initiatives for global organisations in UK, Europe and the US. I went on to become founding partner of a boutique consultancy, providing creative facilitation support to strategy and change projects.In 2002 I joined an organisational development consultancy, acting as the programme lead on major leadership development initiatives for Central Government clients. As Head of Consulting Services I also managed and developed our network of associate consultants. I left to take on the role of a specialist coach and facilitator within a strategy consulting start-up before setting up my own organisational development consultancy, Year One Consulting, in 2006.During that time I worked as a consultant and facilitator within Central Government, the Higher Education Sector, Local Government and for clients within the Creative and Cultural Sector. I have designed and developed leadership programmes for mixed cohorts of academics and professional services managers at Head of School/Department level. I have also worked as a coach with individuals and small groups of senior managers, business owners and academics, focusing on managing organisational change and personal impact.In July 2017 I became Director of Tavistock Consulting, a specialist team within the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. I led on business and partnership development at TC as well as continuing to work as a consultant and coach with senior teams across all sectors, and I also oversaw our EMCC-accredited Executive Coaching Programme.Since July 2023 I have returned to my own freelance practice as an executive coach and facilitator, as well as working as an associate at IMD Business School in Lausanne and Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
