I work within the specialist Business Resilience practice, helping our clients identify and mitigate their risks, escalate and resolve issues, and manage crises effectively. Our work helps minimise the impact when things go wrong - protecting people, businesses and reputations. I advise on crisis management and communications, as well as lead training and simulations.

I was responsible for the strategic direction of our communications and public affairs activity; managing our media, Parliamentary and stakeholder engagement in the UK and Europe.

I am responsible for the press and media relations of the organisation as well as being involved in our policy engagement and government affairs. I am also responsible for our broader external image through publications, visual identity and website.

I worked for University Alliance on a short term contract to provide communications, media and external affairs support from the pre-General Election to post-Government Spending Review period.During this time I was responsible for the redesign, launch and management of a new website. I developed relationships for the organisation with key journalists leading to a significant increase in coverage and profile raising with key stakeholders.

This was a new post focused around developing and delivering a communications strategy and campaign for a £200m redevelopment project. I was responsible for delivering the campaign and major stakeholder engagement strategy. This was a short-term position managing the relationships with the university’s local community and neighbours, responding to complaints from local residents, liaising with police, environmental health and other local authority bodies and community groups.This role required a strategic approach to address a very specific element of the university's reputation management, formulating an entirely new way of handling this engagement and a more efficient way of delivering better results.

This position required a successful, university-wide election by peers.
